Printed photo, not a digital upload
Canadian passport applications generally require a physical photo.
Take it on a phone
You can take the original photo at home, then print it at a pharmacy or photo lab.
Light
Face a window or an even light. Avoid shadows on the background and under your chin.
Angle
Hold the phone at eye level, straight on. Keep your head level and shoulders square.
Framing
Fit your head inside the guide and keep your shoulders visible. ExactPass crops to 50×70 mm.
Print at home or a pharmacy
A 4×6 inch print fits four 50×70 mm photos.
Download the print sheet, print at 100% scale on 4×6 photo paper, and cut along the photo edges. Ask the lab not to resize or “fit to page” — the 50×70 mm size must be exact.
